3D Popup card about Mid Autumn Festival in Vietnam

Mid-Autumn Festival in Vietnam is one of the most charming and picturesque nights of the year for the Kid. The festival involves the customs of moon contemplating, a procession of star & moon-shaped lanterns, lion dance, as well as holding parties with moon cakes and fruits.

Mid-Autumn Festival, like its name, is celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month in the lunar calendar, which falls into the middle of Autumn, corresponding to mid-September to early October in the Western Calendar with a full moon at night.

Mid-Autumn Festival plays an essential role in Vietnamese people’s spiritual lives. Not only as a valuable tradition well-maintained throughout generations, but this festival is also a meaningful event to consolidate family. On this special day, all the members of the family gather and prepare various sweets, fruit.

Mid-Autumn 3d card

Any Vietnamese kid always looks forward to this festival whenever the 8th Month in Lunar Calendar comes. Vietnamese parents will buy several items for their kids as well as decor-stuff such as colorful lanterns, especially traditional star-shaped lanterns, toys, and funny masks to be ready for a festive date.

There are several explanations for that phenomenon as well as the tradition of celebrating the Mid-autumn Festival. The tradition of watching the moon, the lion dance songs, lantern parade became a traditional event in the Mid-Autumn celebration with the Kids.

The common customs of the Mid-Autumn Festival include family members eating dinner together, sharing mooncakes, worshiping the moon with gifts, displaying lanterns, and activities Star lantern around the banyan tree.

Our best-known tale is about a man named “Cuội” who hung on to a magical banyan tree as it floated up to the moon. We say that if you look closely at the full moon, you can see the shadow of a man sitting under a tree. Children parade lanterns in the streets the night of Mid-autumn Festival to help light the way to earth for “Cuội” from the moon.

When I was a kid, I loved to join in the lantern parade in the mid-autumn night. Children in a parade on the streets singing and carrying colorful lanterns of different sizes and shapes, such as fishes, stars, butterflies.

This is one of the motivations for me to design and produce Mid-Autumn Festival popup greeting cards 3D. The model 3D popup card simulates a large banyan tree, with 3 children joining the game lanterns walking around the tree, they holding lanterns in their hands, above is full of Moonlight

If you are in Hanoi, Vietnam during this time, you can go to Hang Ma Street, Hanoi enjoys the exciting atmosphere. You maybe will buy a small gift as a souvenir, which can be lanterns, masks, mid-autumn popup cards ...
