Women’s Day
International Women’s Day was also established in the early 20th century, in New York City. In 1908, when a group of women marched through New York City demanding that working hours be shorter and conditions were better. In 1909 women won the fight when the first National Women’s Day was declared in the United States.

International Women's Day is not a public holiday. It falls on 8 March every year. At its core, International Women's Day marks a time where men and women come together to celebrate the social, cultural, economic and political advancements women have made for society. At the same time, it's an occasion to spread awareness of the many injustices and inequalities women continue to battle

Mother’s day
Mother’s Day as we know it today is a celebration whose date of origin is marked at the beginning of the 20th century and is due mainly to a woman named Anna Jarvis.

This day is celebrated (in some countries the second Sunday of May and in others the last) in honor of the sacrifices that mothers make to carry out their children and their family.

Mother’s Day is a day for many people to show their appreciation towards mothers and mother figures worldwide. It is an annual event but is held at different dates in the calendar, depending on the country.

In the United States, Mother's Day became a national holiday in 1914 and is meant as a celebration of mothers and grandmothers. (Officially, the holiday falls on the second Sunday in May.) In the United Kingdom, however, the holiday originated as a day for people to stop by their "mother" church.

A number of other countries mark Mother's Day at different times in March. Ther are nine countries mark Mother's Day on International Women's Day (2018): Afghanistan, Albania, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Laos, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Uzbekistan.

Mothers' Day and Women’s Day is seen as one of the most important events of the year, maybe we can spread that passion to others and make that day a very special one indeed. It celebrates the strength and the will of the women.

Mother’s Day is supposed to honor motherhood and the sacrifices that mothers make for their family and their children. International Women’s Day recognizes the achievement of women no matter the race and ethnicity.
